This was super easy to install, although there were no instructions to do so! Beware, the open/close mechanism isn’t particularly smooth. It sort of springs into place once you get about 80 percent of the way open or closed.

Works well in the lift top, oak coffee table I built. They squeak a bit and requires two hands to lift/lower, but feel solid when raised.

It’s a good product but it came with no mounting hardware nor directions. The spring action is abrupt and there’s no way, from what I see, to adjust it. Good product but I might return it for something with less force on the spring.
