Selected this brand and blade because it specifically listed marble as a compatible stone to cut. After installing on a brand new Diamondback wet saw table and verifying perpendicularity and flatness, I attempted to cut my first 10mm thick 12″x24″ marble tile. The blade definitely cut the marble with no problems. However, the finish was less than ideal as it chipped throughout the entire cut. See attached pictures of factory edge and cut edge. I tried flipping the tile over for another cut and trying slower feed rate with same poor results. You can see where the chipping was being created with the blade design which is the trailing edge of the “silver” cutting section as it exits the tile under careful observation. Knowing this, I tried to adjust the depth of the cut so the thickness of the tile is only within the “silver” section and again, no luck. So I can either try another blade mfg or continue on by planning where my cuts are and making sure they end up against the walls and not visible. This was the only way I could salvage this project. Chipping is not acceptable with the grout width and end result I wanted so perhaps better suited for something else and thinner tile? Who knows. I would not recommend this tile blade for marble if you want pristine edges.

  2. Beryl

like how easy it cuts tile.

  3. Pandora

Worked well on hundreds of small cuts for my mosaic marble tiles project. Went slow. Back-cut where possible. Very few chip outs. Very pleased.

  4. Ruler

  5. Erwin

DID A GOOD JOB, BURNED OUT QUICKLY

  6. Heroine

Only did 20 cuts on and the hub on the disc went out. Couldn¡¯t use it any more. I did received a new blade from seller, I will buy from them again??

This blade worked great for cutting extra large format (24¡± x 48¡±) porcelain tile. I used a ryobi cordless angle grinder and a little bit of water with a sponge. This tile tended to chip easily with the Makita 4100kb tile saw I was using and the stock blade it came with. I also used a straight edge with this saw to make sure my cuts were straight.Once I switched to this blade and the angle grinder and got comfortable, it made easy work of cutting the tile free hand. And there was less chipping overall when taking multiple passes (light cut to start) and keeping the blade perpendicular to the material. The blade also worked well for grinding material off of edges that required some extra material removal.

    works really good

  9. Germaine

I¡¯m very glad that I did. After 50 or so cuts on 8¡± tile the edges are still very good. I tape the face of the tile with duct tape and that seems to help maintain a good cut. I have another 30 or so cuts so I may have to purchase another blade but it Is worth it when the finished job looks straight and clean.

Used to cut porcelain tile. No complaints with this blade.
