All of the parts are packaged by size in ziploc bags – a nice touch that keeps things orderly in shipping. While unbagging everything, I came across a couple of partial washers, which is the attached picture. Not a big deal given the price. The set includes tweezers and a set of allen wrenches. I tossed the allen wrenches into the recycling bin, since they really aren’t that nice. The tweezers are also low quality, but they were and are useful for picking the little parts out of the individual little bins.Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.

Compared to the local hardware store, this is a steal. There are a lot of screws, nuts, and washers in the kit, ranging from M2 to M5 threads. They do look like stainless steel; advertised as 304, but they are slightly magnetic (checked with a very strong neodymium magnet), so the jury is still out whether they will rust. I’m giving it a cautiously optimistic 4 stars. If no rust appears, will come back to add another one.

All the sizes allow the nut to spin all the way up until it’s a tight interference fit with the head. The threads are smooth and free of burrs, and the surface finish is very smooth. The nuts are not prone to cross-threading from hand starts, cross thread attempts come up against a hard stop, so it’s obvious it’s not going in right, and no wondering if it’s just a little tight before you realize the screw is ruined. The caps on the M3 and M4 screws are slightly narrower at the surface that mates with the load, which is nice for circuit boards that I want the smallest possible displacement of components for screw holes. The M4 wrench was fine. The M3 wrench had a little lip on the short leg that kept it from going into the socket, but was remedied by 10 seconds with a bit of sandpaper. The M2 wrench was slightly small for the socket, but it still transmits torque just fine and for the tiny amount of torque required for an M2 screw, it’s not a real complaint. Overall, these are excellent. I see in other reviews there are 2 complaints that come up for screw assortments. Either the screws are all mixed up and need sorting, or they all come in little bags that need to be unpacked. These come in little bags, which keep them from getting mixed up in shipping (the shipping process is never gentle) and, at least in my opinion, is faster to pour out from the bags than having to sort all the bins. Also know what you are buying, the little screws are very tiny. Perfect for me, but I see a lot of reviews for screw sets that say they are too small. M4, M3, and M2 are sizes, look up how big they are if you aren’t sure.

Quality of the bolts is adequate for the price, I¡¯ve had little to now early stripping of the sockets, and no shears or breaks. The inclusion of the nuts and spacers was appreciated as the majority of these box sets I order don¡¯t include them.

I need to order some metric assorted screws for some 3D parts I¡¯m designing. I wasn¡¯t sure what exact sizes I needed so ordered these assortment screws before I decided what actual sizes Im going to use. I didn¡¯t need the washers and nuts, but it saved me time from mass ordering the wrong sizes screws. Incidentally, I¡¯m screwing into knurled brass nuts that I embed into the 3D printed parts. The screws look great!
