The unit feels a little flimsy until it is mounted solidly to the wall. I could only hit wall studs with the center holes. The outer holes I used 3/16 inch togglers. I don¡¯t believe push in plastic anchors would provide enough holding power. The unit opens smoothly but tends to bind when closing. Pulling the hanger bars all the way forward before closing, seems to alleviate the binding. It is a perfect unit for providing drying space in a small area and then folding flat out of the way.

Our laundry room is tiny and has no room for a drying rack on the floor, even a temporary one . Our former wall mounted plastic accordian rack stuck out about 10 inches even when pushed in. I wanted a rack where I could also lay things flat across the bars to dry and most of the “swing-out” wooden types come out at an angle when open. This little guy checks all the boxes. I use a combination of S hooks and hangers to dry items from the rods. That provides lots of capacity. The metal casing seems sturdy enough to me if not slapped shut, so I don’t have concerns about that. It’s really unobtrusive and nice-looking when its closed. My husband installed it with no problem. I think he had to drill holes in the metal casing to match our stud locations. This was a great find.

I had to laugh because how often can you have a headline like that and not be censored? This rack is actually pretty nice, but if you don’t have studs somewhere along the mounting that you can tap I question it’s ability to hold wet clothing if used to capacity. My wife installed it with the drywall mounts, but didn’t hit a stud. I will probably place a backing board behind it mounted to the studs and then mount this to the board for strength. If you use the included long bit it isn’t bad getting to the screws to mount it, but my wife didn’t and complained that they were difficult until I pointed this out. Not knocking her at all, but she isn’t dumb and if she did it others might too so this is just a heads up. I think the rack is actually pretty nice and will be used frequently. I can recommend it.

I have a decent sized laundry room, however it is also the dog kennel room so there is not much floor space. I hang dry all of my microfiber cleaning rags and I used to lay them all over the dog cages and it drove me crazy. I wanted something clever and compact that would hang on my wall but not take up any space. I absolutely love this rack! Super easy to put up, works perfectly, and gets the job done! Zero complaints! I also love that even when it is closed it doesn¡¯t take up a ton of room on the wall like some racks do. I don¡¯t want a drying rack to be the size of an art piece, that¡¯s why I love how tiny it folds up!

There was no angle at which you could insert a screwdriver – manual or power. The extension bit was useless. Only through perseverance, a lot of swearing, and allowing two of the screws to only be in part way was I able to get it up. The second time I used it one of the crossbars came out of the frame. I was able to put it back in, but suspect it will keep happening = annoying. Rods seem sturdy otherwise and roll to allow easier hanging of long items. Is clean looking and folds away nicely. Does allow hanging of several items, but not much airflow in between.

Really love this product! My husband said it¡¯s really easy to install. The only issue he had was the wall not being flat. He overcame that by using washers as spacers.
