These things are great, I went and bought several after I gave it a first try. The pads are nice, the feet is a nifty, handy design and they thread right onto standard pipe threads.I bought them for a barn door I was building and worked great as expected with 4 ft pipes. After that I used them for an arbor that I built in-place.I recommend them, you won¡¯t be disappointed.

I’ve been using the clamps from the big box stores so far and wanted to try out this for a change. The build is so excellent and feels like I can pass it on to my kids. Well made, consistent quality, and well designed. The “H” design makes these little workhorses supper useful for all types of glue-ups and bench working. Keeping clamping mechanisms steady and even is a “main pain” of assembly and wood working. These clamps work great!

These are the “high-leg” type of pipe clamps that hold the work-piece above the bench. The threads on these are clean and smooth operating. The only issue I had was that the spring on the leaves seems to get in the way when you put the sliding jaw on the pipe. But once on, everything worked fine and I was able to apply a lot of pressure with no slippage. The finish seems adequate as well. There is only 1 set of spare pads but each clamp has them installed. I wish my other clamps had the pads. As a woodworker, I live by the motto – “you can never have enough clamps”! I’m sure I will get many years of use from these.

My one complaint is the black pads can fall off. Otherwise I have used with galvanized pipe and black pipe, I think the black which is recommended anyway works better, I haven¡¯t measured but I¡¯m guessing the diameter of the pipe might be different, the galvanized seems tighter. Clamps themselves worked great.
