I got these to use as anchor points for a Sail canopy over my back patio. I drilled holes in the mortar between bricks, hammered these in, and then bolted them into place. They expand between the bricks when bolted in place to hold things secure. With the sale mounted – all three anchor points feel rock solid and secure with no movement. Overall very impressed by how well they work and keep things tight. My only suggestion would be instead of a smooth anchor shaft – adding some barbs would increase how solid it is able to mount and stay secure.TLDR: If you are trying to create some solid anchor points in brick walls – these are a good choice to use
