I used these to convert an ottoman into a storage box.. Probably would of been better just to make the top lift off but then the dogs would of gotten in it.. They are sturdy for what they are made for and work so-so for what I used them for.. I wouldn’t think twice about getting them for some other weird project.. they’re good..

I was leery of using any of this style hinges after reading reviews with problems, especially sturdiness. However, these are great! Easy to install, just mark and drill some holes, and screw into place. (screws not included, though that is reasonable as your wood thickness may vary.) One tip: attach the table top before attaching a bottom. It makes it much easier to put in those screws. These hinges are amazingly solid, with almost no movement in the up or down position. No additional spacers or reinforcement were needed. The table top is easy to raise and lower. Not the absolute cheapest of this style, but they worked so well on a 24″ x 50″ table, I just bought two more sets.
