This was a great solution to raise and extend my propane stove/grill to a comfortable working height, while still allowing it to stow neatly below the bench. This is best suited for heavy, immobile furniture. The pneumatics are strong, so it¡¯s a bit tricky to get them into down position. Also, whatever you¡¯re lifting has to have enough weight to hold it down, otherwise it could pop open from stowed if you look at it wrong.I did have some difficulty finding suitable hardware to mount this without a box frame, because the base is designed to mount against vertical sides rather than a horizontal surface, but I finally found some 3/4¡± corner brackets that kept the profile low enough to still fit below the bench.

What a great way to turn our ottoman into a table by adding this product! Now we can use it as a place to sit down or put trays and watch tv while we eat. This is a fantastic product. Has held up just like day 1 for well over a year!

These work perfectly. Couldn¡¯t be happier. Install took a few adjustments and a lot of measurements but that was expected. Holds up a 6¡¯ by 2¡¯ inch thick oak board and any normal thing we set on top. Have to open and close in the center. You could bolt the two hinges together with bar between to solve this problem.

got these to finish my lift top table with 4’x2′ 3/4″ Masonite tabletop. They’ve been in use for 6 months and I am 100% satisfied. I had no issues with installation and the are more than strong enough for my coffee table. I got the one with pneumatic arms, not springs. Extreamly Sturdy. I haven¡¯t put a level on it yet, but it seems level enough to the naked eye. The table does take two hands to open and I do have to hold the bottom as I push the top to put it down as the brackets are so strong they would just push the table across the floor if I didn’t need hold it. But I’m perfectly fine with these two caveats.

These work really well they are just a little stiff to close, but I suppose that is better than something not stiff enough that will crash back down.

They do what they’re supposed to do, that is, lift the table top while keeping it parallel to the ground. The issued I have is that either because they’re independent of each other, or I have them spaced too far apart which causes them to twist as you’re listing the top. The top is maybe 15-20lbs and they do a great job of lifting and holding it in place there. I am just worried about the extended function of lifting the table over and over if the twisting will weaken where it is secured and come loose/fall off.In my opinion, if these were to be used for a small, maybe .75-1″ thick type of board that’s about 12-18″ apart, they probably won’t torque as bad and maybe you could lift it with one hand. Not the case for my use. I may end up trying one of the more expensive ones with the welded bars between the two brackets and see if that stops the twisting.

After reading some reviews that these hinges were not perfectly straight, I was a little bit skeptical but other reviews with pictures convinced me that I needed them.Installing them was a bit of a pain of trial and error but after a while I got it figured out. How i did it: held closed hinge on the left interior side of box, top bracket piece flush with the top of my box and up against the back side. Marked and drilled pilot holes and then secured it in place with #8 1/2″ wood screws. (Repeated procedure for other hinge)With both hinges now secured to the box sides, i then placed my upholstered mdf wood lid on the top of the raised hinge brackets. While laying on my back, I used two strips of 2″ thick exterior masking tape that i cut to run the length of the hinges. I applied half to the hinge and half the lid board. I was then able to press the lid down and close it. When in the closed position, the lid wasn’t completely square with my box so I repeated this procedure until I got it right. While on my back i was then able to hold the lid and secure it in place with 3 screws per side.Works like a charm.
