I needed cap nuts for a outside project, I ordered these and they were great.
Nimble –
Smooth domes fasten tight over screw ends to prevent tears or catching. Used these inside DIY bicycle shopping panniers whose J-hooks were drilled for #10 screws and now nothing I throw in them ever gets caught, scratched or ripped. Complemented with lock washers and some blue loctite (the non-permanent variety) to keep the nuts from unscrewing. Because they¡¯re stainless they don¡¯t rust from all the times they¡¯re exposed to the elements or when I bother to wash out the panniers.

I used these 304 stainless acorn nuts on my 6061 T6 aluminum salt water deck boat (with zinc anodes) and they do not rust.
