Q & A

Interested in mounting these horizontal to make a tray slide in back of van, I’ve read other places that it reduces capacity to 1/3 of rated. Is that the only issue? I don’t plan on having anything over 75lbs on the slide out (3 bikes all < 20lbs) and weight of actual slide out. Based on spec the 48inch should be fine for my use case? Paul asked on May 7, 2023

Hi sir, if you want to horizontal mounting them, yes the load capacity will be reduce to be only 1/3 load weight as original. And the lock function will not work well.
You can choose the non-locking slides #VA2576 for it. And add additional lock on your drawers.

Fastening into wood, what size/kind of screws? I bought the VD2576. How many? Andrew Ryan asked on September 12, 2022

Hi Andrew, you can choose the M6 flat head tapping screws for it.

We are remodeling our kitchen, adding a large island which is designed to include three large, deep drawers down low, with smaller drawers above. My cabinet guy had no luck finding HD slides locally, so after searching many online sites, I decided these were the best value – if they lived up to the heavy-duty claims. They are indeed heavy, and they glide as smooth as silk. You get a satisfying amount and heft of smooth, strong steel and just holding the rail for a single side is impressively heavy.

These are excellent slides. They are heavy duty. I have a pair in use on a 42″ wide by 24″ tall and 40″ deep drawer that goes under my stairs. Inside that drawer is another drawer. This is all to hold shoes and boots. The only drawback to these is they do not come apart. They must be installed in the cavity and then the drawer is attached to the slides. Can be difficult on a drawer this size, but I managed to do it all alone.

These are bg, HEAVY slides. They are thicker than smaller slides, so be aware you do need to allow for that. I wish there were some lighter weight ones available in 36″ full extension slides, but at least you don’t have to worry about overloading these. I’ll also point out that you can’t use normal slide screws when mounting them, as they will rub, so you have to use about a #10 wood screw, so that the tapered head fits flush yet doesn’t go right through the hole.

When these 36 inch drawer slides arrived at my house, I knew immediately they would be as good or better than expected. The packaging and shear weight of the slides says a lot about the product.

Using the proper screws as described in the product brochure made installation a breeze. I am building a large storage drawer in the back of my Jeep and these slides, while over-rated for my foreseen needs, are perfect. I’ve watch countless YouTube videos of similar projects and flimsy or low cost slides and concluded the last thing I want to do is continually deal with unsatisfactory and weak slides – thus my purchase of these.

I used these slides for an unconventional purpose. We live in a mountain cabin with a very awkward storage closet. These slides allowed me to create a pullout hanging bar in a closet that otherwise had no hanging capacity. Now, I just pull out the slides to gain access to shelves in the back of the closet where I store my bulkier items like sweaters, sweatshirts, and other cool weather gear

  6. ProDigi Tech

Very strong and well built design. I built my own drawer and it was pretty easy with a table saw and skill saw. I don’t have a lot of weight in my drawer 22×36 but it seems like it could hold my weight easily (200lbs). Would recommend this set to anyone!

Love these slides. I used them to build a sliding drawer for the back of my Tahoe. I put multiple guns and 750 shotgun shells in there plus mechanic tools and clothes. It handles the weight just fine

Very happy with these rollers. I used them to make a rolling platform for my refridgerator in my RV. I have the refridgerator roll out because I plan to install a counter top over the top of it.

Heavy Duty! Strong and perfect for our appliance closet drawers. Smooth opening and can handle the weight with no problem. The box they get shipped in needs to be better reinforced, they showed up hanging out of it. Luckily all the parts made it.

Excellent product! Used for building dresser drawers into a closet. Turned out beautifully and these added quality, luxury and durability to the project.
